THE BRIEF
This is a collection of short-form motion design work created during my studies. Some pieces were developed as part of larger individual projects, while others were weekly exercises, each responding to a specific brief with a limited time frame and clear creative constraints.
These explorations focus on visual rhythm, typographic animation, transitions, and pacing, often within 10-second formats. The variety of styles and briefs allowed me to experiment with different aesthetics and animation techniques while staying intentional with timing and structure.
Each clip reflects a different approach to storytelling through movement — sometimes playful, sometimes precise — but always grounded in design thinking.
blackout
For this project, we were challenged to create a TV series for a fictional streaming platform. Our team produced BlackOut, a suspenseful murder mystery that follows 4 friends trapped in a basement during a lockdown party, as they begin to unravel dark secrets amongst them.
During this team project, we were tasked with creating a trailer for the show, the opening sequence as well as a press kit. I tasked myself with creating the opening sequence fully in 3D, and here are the results.
cars trailer
This was the final project of the class. We had to create a 30 to 45 second long trailer for a movie or TV show of our choice. The only imposed directive was that the video had to be made in a Saul Bass, outline style.
logo loop
For the third and final "mini project" of the class, we were asked to make a looping animation featuring the school's logo as the center piece of the animation.
geometry
For the second project of the class, the brief was to take last week's video concept from another student and implement it on a ten second video this time based around the word "Geometry". Once again, the title word had to feature in the final video.
the piano
This was first project of the class. We had to create a ten second video which's theme was the word "Piano". The only directive was that the word had to appear at some point in the clip.
