THE BRIEF

While interning at a post-production studio in Paris, I was involved in the development of two promotional videos for Paris Games Week 2023. The client tasked the studio with creating short-form social content to be released in the week leading up to the event, with the goal of driving awareness and excitement across social platforms.

That year, Paris Games Week placed a strong focus on digital engagement, investing heavily in social media to reach a broader audience. The brief called for dynamic, visually engaging reels that would feel fresh, playful, and instantly shareable.

The creative concept imagined video game culture spilling into real-world Paris. Iconic city landmarks — or spaces connected to the gaming world — were reimagined with surreal, game-inspired elements to create a striking visual contrast. The result was a fun, immersive mashup designed to blur the line between reality and the virtual worlds celebrated at the event.

This project offered a fast-paced, collaborative environment where storytelling had to be immediate, imaginative, and platform-ready.

After a lot of discussion about the different concepts proposed, they finally chose 2 to develop.

They really liked the idea of the bus and, as they were in partnership with the RATP, they asked us to use one of the two videos to promote the fact that the exhibition venue could be reached by public transport.

So we came up with an initial model of a futuristic fortnite-style RATP bus, which they approved.

The final version of the bus in the video will have changed a lot due to animation constraints and rights issues.
